The Jake Maxfield Connection provides local, high level, free early literacy tutoring for at risk children. The Literacy Connection tutors are volunteer qualified educators, with many years of experience teaching literacy skills.  Some are reading specialists, some are elementary educators, some are from other specialty areas of education.  All of our tutors care deeply about promoting literacy and helping children succeed. Our hardworking volunteers have tutored approximately 40 kids and counting.
